Zaan is BiS Monster Set for Damage currently, however Valkyn Skoria is a good substitute.

Mother's Sorrow is a good DPS set in general, but can be substituted for Law of Julianos, if you need a bit more Magicka Sustain.

Burning Spellweave is a really good damage set. Some of the Destruction Staff passives increase damage done with abilities when using Inferno (Flame) Destro Staves, so having Burning Spellweave just makes sense.

General Info

Food: Withmother's Potent Brew and Orzorga's Red Frothgar are both good for this build. Witchmother's Potent Brew is recommended because of the Maximum Magicka. If you're struggling to keep yourself alive, Orzorga's Red Frothgar gives you some extra health.

Potions: The best would be Essence of Spellpower Potions (Corn Flower, Lady's Smock, Water Hyacinth). But this can get expensive. I just use the Essence of Magicka Potions that drop from enemies, and those work perfectly fine.

Mundus: If you put this exact build together (don't vary from Race, CP, etc.), The Shadow will be your best friend. If you're struggling with Magicka Sustain, try The Mage Mundus.

Parse:

LA = Light Attack.

Basically the parse is:

Pre-Buff: Dark Conversion > Critical Surge

For the first set of enemies you want to cast: LA > Lightning Flood > LA > Elemental Blockade

Crushing Shock will be your spammable, using Crystal Fragments when it PROCs. Don't forget to weave light attacks. Anytime you need to re-apply Critical Surge, cast Dark Conversion first. When your Lightning Flood is ready to be re-applied, cast: Lightning Flood > LA > Dark Conversion (x4) > Critical Surge > LA > Elemental Blockade. If your timing is right, Elemental Blockade should expire as soon as you're done casting your Critical Surge, thus we re-apply, then we go back to our spammable (Crushing Shock).

I started out vMA with Alcast's 1-Bar Sorc Easy vMA Clear build, and I just could not finish it. My friend Viralnet put this build together for me, and I've had vMA on farm now. All credit goes to him, I'm just posting the build.
