I choosed to use Torug's Pact on Sword, Shield, Staff, Belt, Hands and Shoes. This allow me to adapt my weapon depending on the situation.
I carry some extra pieces as well to adapt to the encounter.
- Plague Doctor (Overland set - Deshaan) (in replacement of Ebon Armory) for when I need that extra boost to HP and I'm too far away from the group (Aetherian Archives axes for example)
- Armor of the Seducer (Crafted set) (in replacement of Torug's Pact) for when I want a ton of magicka sustain, to provide a maximum of CC and group utility. It really speeds up dungeon runs, and can be useful in Blackrose Prison to help stacking the mob with Unrelenting Grip.
- Bloodspawn (Monster set - Spindleclutch II vet & Maj al-Ragath's chest) For when I need to be tankier, or provide more uptime on Warhorn.
- 1 Piece Chokethorn (Monster set - Elden Hollow I vet & Maj al-Ragath's chest) and 1 piece Shadowrend (Monster set - Banished Cells I vet & Maj al-Ragath's chest) For when I want more Magicka Recovery (easier fight) to provide more group utility and crowd control.
- I have two full set of jewelry, one with Magicka Recovery glyphs, and another with Shield Play glyphs. If the fight is easy I switch to full Magicka Recovery to provide more group utility, and the more block intensive it is, the more Shield Play jewelry I use.
Questing gear
For solo questing purpose, I use the following sets to deal proc-based damage :
Traits doesn't matter, ideally it would be infused with stamina enchants, and on weapon I use a fire enchant for the fun.
This allow me to deal enough damage without doing a respec. I use only a single bar and heavy attacks.
Pierce Armor, Engulfing Flames, Deep Breath, Unrelenting Grip, Resolving Vigor, Magma Shell
General Info
12 April 2019 update :
Wrathstone update. Lots of changes .Skill setup adjustments. Use of Balance for easier sustain. Prefered race changed to Nord. Updated CP. Back bar now using frost staff due to 1h enchant nerf. Changed prefered Monster Set.
15 November 2018 update :
Skill setup adjustments. Changed back to Igneous Shield due to update 20 changes on shields. Updated CP. I'm not going to include the DW-Torug combo on the backbar, because it will be corrected in an incoming update.
11 September 2018 update :
Skill setup adjustments. Changed from Igneous Shield to Fragmented Shield because the shield is quite weak anyway, but the Major Mending uptime increase is invaluable.

Skills
Flex slots and utility skills :
- Shield Discipline / Magma Shell / Replenishing Barrier (for more Magicka Recovery, my personnal choice for easier content)
- Deep Breath / Efficient Purge / Elusive Mist / Crushin Shock (ranged interrupt)
- Choking Talons / Energy Orb / Engulfing Flames
- Unrelenting Grip / Shielded Assault (for when you need a gap closer, like in Cradle of Shadows)
Races
Nord > Argonian > Imperial > Any other races
I'm playing as a Nord because of the extra resistance and ultigen. This allow me to have my resists capped without investing CP in it.

May I ask how many attribute points you put into health, magicka and stamina?
@Hizoku
I can’t give you exact numbers, it depends on lots of parameters. The way I proceed is the following :
1) I equip all my gear, I set my CP according to my needs, I spend my skill points, I use my buff-food
2) I start with my health attribute points, putting in enough to reach 35-40k health (more HP isn’t necessary, it can even be a handicap in some mechanics requiring a very fast healing to full HP, like in Cloudrest)
3) Once I’ve reach enough HP, I split the remaining attribute points evenly between stamina and magicka. As an Imperial, I will naturally have more stamina than magicka this way. If you are another race, you might want to put more points into stamina to make sure your stamina pool is higher than your magicka pool. This is important for synergies that give ressources back (shards and orbs).
