Gear and Item Set Info
Personally, I like to use part Magnus' Set and part Torug's Pact because of the magicka and damage bonuses. You can choose whatever you like really. Also, I enchant with some more health for the little bit more... let's say, less deathy, more livey. Also, the staff that I primarily use for this build is a lightning staff with a lightning enchantment. I use this because the continuous damage with mouse 1 comes in handy with the Power Surge skill for some healing during combat.
General Info
Obviously with the summoning abilities on your skill bar, you'll have them up constantly. The Unstable Familiar should be able to take the agro from most monsters shortly after going into combat and activating its skill to pull adds.Potions and food is entirely up to you. I manage to survive without potions and food. A thought for food would be to go for the stuff that increases the regeneration speed of both health and magicka. Might even want to throw in some Potions of Spell Power for the extra edge.Plenty of strengths such as excellent in dealing with groups and single target enemies. Main weakness is that this build doesn't have much sustainability in terms of health and armor. But other than that, overall pretty good.Skill alternatives? Change them to your merry will! Make it suit your play style! Also, the second ability bar is entirely up to whatever you want on it. Could even turn it into a healing/tank aspect which I will probably add later after further testing.Another thing, when you activate the ultimate Overload, you can change the skills on the ability bar again for when you are using Overload. So for me I keep the two summons on there and then add abilities that add more damage to myself and spells.Enchantments: Up to you. I do prefer the health enchantments on the armor and the lightning enchantment on the lightning staff for just lovely stuffs.PASSIVES: What you want to work on is all the High Elf, destructive staff, storm calling and daedric summoning. If there are any passives that you yourself prefer, go after them! Also, a little side note, this is also my main crafter so a lot of my skill points went into completing those skill trees.
Champion Point Tips
I'm going to come out and say this now, I have barely started champion points, and I can assure you that this build can solo the public dungeons and stuff without any champion points. Group dungeons are still a bit of a hassle at the moment but surely if you know where to put these champion points, you should be fine.
