Undaunted Sets For Alliance Points / Gold

  35 Comments   December 10, 2015

On ESO Live (Ep. 30) it was mentioned that in early 2016, with the Thieves Guild DLC, some new vendors will arrive in Cyrodiil twice weekly to sell Undaunted item sets in exchange for gold or Alliance Points.

Edit: The new merchant is called Adhazabi Aba-daro the Golden and will be located at the Western Elsweyr Gate, the Northern Highrock Gate and the Southern Morrowind Gate.
The Shoulders look like they are 200,000 AP or 100,000 Gold to buy!

Undaunted Monster Mask Shoulders For AP Gold

View of Vendor in Cyrodiil

These new vendors will only arrive twice per week, so they won’t be there all week long, but they will keep to a schedule. So once you know which days they arrive they won’t change. They will arrive at the same time for all three Alliances as well.

The cost for these items is unknown at this time, but it is expected to be substantial. You will be able to pay with gold OR Alliance Points.

The items for sale will change each week, so you can’t buy a full set at once. The Engine Guardian Helm might be available in week 1 and then the Engine Guardian Shoulders might not make it to the vendors for several weeks after that. Oh and the items that will be for sale include the Undatuned sets as well as the Monster Masks and Shoulders.

I think they should open some of the pvp sets up for crafters.

I don’t think its right for people just to buy the monster helm pieces. I put my hard earned time into completing vet dungeons to get my monster sets. You should have to earn the sets yourself. This should be a requirement and you shouldn’t be able to buy it. Everyone would have the monster sets who have never even stepped into a vet dungeon to get them. Thats bull. Everyone should grind to get the monster sets like me and my guild friends did.

They are not saying neither which traits all these equipment will have.

Will be worthy to spent a big amount of money/AP to get a Well fitted mask or shoulders??? I don’t think so…

I think this will be a substantial vendor, I highly doubt they would have bad traits.

It would cost the same amount no matter the trait just a 1/8 chance for you to get what you want.

This is the dumbest idea that eso has ever made. Now every bum with gold or AP is going to be walking around with Monster Helms, instead of playing the content, just throw out some money and skip the hours of playing and learning how to complete the dungeons. Maybe sell the Shoulders. But not the Helmets. And if that’s there plan then just put up the Maelstrom Arena weapons up for sale.

“learning how to complete the dungeons”
I can teach it right here, listen carefully!

      Step A) NUKE BOSS
      Step B) Collect loot

In that case all PVP stuff should be available to those who despise PVP (like me).

It is available, it will cost gold (PvE currency) or alliance points (PvP currency) and the vendor appears in a completely safe area of Cyrodil. BTW, I spent months of doing undaunted daily and never getting the sets I want. Now, I’m enjoying PvP, why should PvP awards be inherently crap compared to PvE ? I and many others can’t spend 8 hours a day to do PvE and PvP, lol. Some of us actually deserve to get these items based on the time we put in already.

So what you are saying is you want to maintain your elite advantage over others because you spent more time or got luckier.

Not everyone bought the game for pve. I bought it for the pvp. So why should you have access to the best gear in the game, gear that allows you to go beast mode in pvp, and you got it from pve. Whereas I pvp every hour I play the game and the best pvp set I can get doesn’t begin to come close ? That’s imbalanced. Stop being an elitist. Not everyone wants to or has the time to run dungeon after dungeon endlessly until they finally get good rng and get the piece they need.

Are you ever tired of complaining so much look at it this way if you ever decide to try something new you have a way to get these items without doing all the same crap. It was designed to assist people who have spent a lot of time grinding without any luck to get the drops they wanted. Again back to my original point stop crying

I’m consider it this way, you did how many hours grinding to get your molag kena? They did how many hours grinding to get the AP/gold. Don’t get mad because their method was more productive. That would be the same as getting mad at someone who got the agility set by earning the gold and buying it in a trader as opposed to grinding for the trophies and eventually getting the drop they need.

All you pve players can just waltz into the sewers and get stones by killing adds in the sewers and buy the pvp sets you want, whereas a pvp player has to go do pve content for a *chance* to get the helmet or shoulders….

Finally good news for PvP. Grinding predictable/monotonous dungeons turns new players away weather or not its PvP or PvE. People that can’t play 80 hours a week shouldn’t get left behind either. It’s bs sitting in enclave zone forever trying to find groups to do the shit and getting left out of groups because you don’t have the sets to begin with. If it’s not this it’s something else for people to cry about and what’s wrong with opening up the game you all play to a bigger population that the game needs. Somewhere out there I’m sure there is a violin playing a sad song just for you. :. (

I think this is a great idea. It doesn’t matter who has it that’s mad or who doesn’t that isn’t mad. This game has a broken group finder and plenty of players that won’t group with you because they would rather sit and BS in the alliance capital. So why shouldn’t the player that can’t find a group for PvE have a good chance at the helms they need? Because you all are butthurt that you had the leisure to run for the pieces for endless hours? Get a life.

not everything pvp related is as easy to get by by simply buying it. Alot of PvE players use Alliance War abilities which are a pain to unlock.especially if youre not the pvp type of player.
Me myself has been forced to play cyrodil because i want certain abilities to use during pve gaming.
This is just a cheap solution for the lazy, lets be honest. So you can spend hours in cyro/IC a day but you cant take half an hour daily to do a vet dungeon? thats bull. Most people not agreeing with having monster sets buyable dont do that because they dont want pvp-ers to have them, they do because that catering-to-the-lazy approach negates all of their hard work (read: time and effort put in)

      next up: buyable emperor/empress titles

I’ve got most undaunted sets but i still think this is a great idea, should people or new ish players be punished because they haven’t put in or got the time to put into the game i have.

the problem isn’t if it’s right to sell items that normally you would have to do a certain task to get. The problem is making items like these very easily accessible. I play both pvp and pve, though my main toon is a pve build. This vendor was obviously added to cater to players that need a hand doing content or don’t want to do content. Either a time constraint or just not a good player. But no matter what people can buy it will not improve the player they are. I seriously hope this is the last handout type of situation in this game. I like the challenge and the struggle. Any pvp guys on Xbox need help in pve let me know.

Also I would like to Add that this is not a hand out for pvpers or pvers who can’t do pve content. As an almost pure pvper (years of mmorpg and tired of pve) we earn our alliance points and cash to buy these is even harder for us…100,000 gold is nothing to a pve player. So if anything you guys who have played trying to get that one eluded piece without divines or whatever may now get your chance. No one likes to grind for weeks or months for one item. If we wanted to do that we would go back to these old days of Everquest.Or how I would like to call it ForeverQuest.

Am I the only one that does not get what people are crying about.

Every PvE’er who takes his PvE serious, only want to get the Monster sets with Divines, or some reinforced or something for tank.

PvP vendor only sells the monster sets in impen(which is the only trait i would take as a PvPer on it) or infused, so yeah, bye bye.

just a bunch of losers if they really feel that they’re all so high and mighty it shouldn’t matter playing even with others should it? everyone against it are just a bunch of babies that rely on gear that others can’t seem to get. its an awesome idea, of course it is limited in traits. Divines will still be strictly for all you babies don’t worry c: we’ll all need to grind for em lol

It’s not a bad idea, make em more expensive and add them to the telvar merchants thats both pvp and pve. pleasing both sides
