Tri-Stat Food (Max Health+Stamina+Magicka)

  • Health and Stam for obvious reasons, and the bonus magicka helps you sustain

Optional Potions:

  • The best pots to run with this build are any kind of immovability or major expedition pots. While generally highly mobile, faced with CC or up against an opponent running major expedition, it can be hard to keep up and DPS.

General Info

General Description & What You Can Expect:

If you're looking for a stupidly bonkers build with a ridiculous amount of weapon damage for no good reason, then you've come to the right place.  I put this together just to see how powerful a setup I could make without utilizing the usual proc sets everyone's running these days. I can't promise this is the strongest build around, but that's not to say that it isn't extremely fun and powerful.

Played correctly, you WILL perform well.  Paired with a small group, especially with a tanky friend or a healer (or both ideally) you'll do even better.  This build works extremely well in battlegrounds and in non-CP cyrodiil.

CONS:

->Easily CC'ed to death (snares and slows are the bane of your [and everyone's, really] existence)

->Terrible recovery (approx 600 stamina and magicka recovery)

->Tankier opponents will outsustain and mitigate your bonkers damage if you're not careful

->Difficulty dealing with fast opponents

->Requires very careful resource management with Dark Deal + Spell Symmetry

PROS:

  • Stupidly high, consistent damage (Easily 4k+ effective weapon damage with your 2H with just Rally up + 10% bonus damage from Slimecraw's Minor Berserk buff)
  • High burst (side effect of your damage)
  • Sustain through Dark Deal
    • Combine with Spell Symmetry for infinite sustain (sacrifice health for magicka -> dark deal -> health + stamina = win)
  • Mobile fighter on the battlefield
  • Bonus Flying Thunder [hit like a] Truck mode with Clever Alchemist
    • : proc off bow bar with any pot and have 634 more weapon damage because what you had wasn't enough
      • More like 900 more weapon damage for 15 seconds with bonuses
      • with everything procced, total reads 4450, + sword swinger's 434 (plus bonuses) = roughly 5100 weapon damage (plus an additional 320 + bonuses more if you count your Bow weapon damage enchant)
        • A shitton of damage basically

General Playstyle

Generally speaking, with this build you'll find that you never seem to have enough stamina or magicka.  Resource management is extremely important and if you're not careful, you'll run out midfight and then the waves of stuns and slows and snare spams will bring you to your doom.  That's something that goes for all toons and all builds, but especially here because your recovery is complete garbage.

Dark Deal is your key sustain.  The whole build more or less revolves around it - it's a great way to harness that would-be-useless magicka pool you've got (now bolstered by the tri-stat food you're running).  Restores a shit ton of stam and health, so all around great sustain.

Spell Symmetry is the complementary skill to Dark Deal.  It's not necessary, but is a nice way to "reset" your resources once you've disengaged from combat or when you're in between fights (especially in battlegrounds).  Highly recommended for your overload utility bar.

Combat

Buff before combat as usual - Rally, Hurricane, Evasion.  Hurricane only lasts 15 secs, so be aware and keep that up.  Does tons of damage, even after the nerf and Major Ward is important for obvious reasons.

After buffs, light attack with bow for your weapon damage enchant proc and poison injection.  In group play, I like to run lethal arrow sometimes and neutralize those heal spams with major defile.  Switch to 2H and Crit Charge/Stampede into close combat and go through the 2Her rotation:

Dizzying Swing (your spammable) with light attacks/heavy attacks in between until the opponent is low.  Then light attack weave with Executioner/Reverse Slice followed by a bash in quick succession for high damage and easy kills.  Rinse and repeat.

Tips:

  • Use Streak to reset your rotation if you're in a bind, and then crit charge right back in or quickly apply buffs, heal, etc. before going back in if you need to.
  • Learning to animation cancel heavy attacks to reduce wind up time but ensure you are still restoring stamina will help you sustain big time and keep your DPS up, so do learn that.  Put that into your rotation and you'll do tons more damage!
  • Light attacks and heavy attacks should always be weaved in where possible to ensure the most DPS
  • Flawless Dawnbreaker is mostly kept on retainer for the weapon damage passive (cause that's what we're all about here) but combine that with a Dizzying Swing for massive burst.  Good AOE ability in general.
  • For tough situations, use your Overload bar - the buffs and utility skills on there will keep you alive.  Crit Surge + Caltrops will slow enemies and give you strong self-heals in big fights (or hell, even in a duel)
  • Dealing with a pesky tank?  Rearming trap that mother fucker's feet.  Then senselessly beat him to death with Dizzying Swing + Heavy Attack spam.
  • Flying Thunder Truck Mode is crazy powerful.  You hit like a truck, but remember that you can still be killed easily as usual.  For 15 seconds you have some opportunities to burst people down, but make sure you don't get CC spammed to death or overwhelmed and end up wasting your proc.
