General Info
Pros:
-Great Sustain
-Good Teamplay
-Great solo potential
-Pairs well with a high DPS build
-Solid AoE
-Good for deathless runs
-Good build for beginners/people who aren't geared to get BiS gear/healers making a new DPS toon (I know who you are, you magplar DPS you)
Cons:
-Magicka Heavy
-Poor single target DPS
-Not BiS
-Suffers if you don't have a capable DPS in the party
-Bad for timed runs
-No single target ultimate
Playstyle:
Your main goal in this build is to do moderate (15-20k DPS) while also taking some of the load off the healer's back (8-11k HPS). As stated above, you won't be a hard hitting spectral bow monster like other builds, but with your contribution to healing (and CC if you choose the lightning staff) you should see a huge difference in overall success during dungeons, even if burns are a bit slower. For trash pulls/adds you should be sticking in your second bar, spamming Sap Essence as much as possible to not only deal decent DPS but also to heal that one DPS who aggro'd one too many mobs or that tank who tabbed out to check discord mid-fight. For single target, you want to fire spectral bow as often as possible, weaving lights/heavies in with your Funnel Health spam, occasionally using Grasp and of course executing when on threshold. Every time you cast spectral bow, swap to AoE bar to refresh them and keep a constant stream of damage on the boss, and every second cast recast Siphoning Attacks to make sure you keep up the mana regen.
.Again, your goal here isn't to kill things as fast as possible, but to make sure your TEAM can kill things as fast as possible. Buff food is, of course, Witchmother's Potent Brew, however you can use Superior quality if WPB is a little pricey for your tastes. Mundus is The Apprentice to try and make up for the overall lack of spell damage in the gear. Use the standard magicka pots or spell power pots, whichever you have.
