General Info

"The Cursed Knight"

Welcome to Fun as a DK Tank!

It's not Meta, but it works surprisingly well.

A little background:

Welcome all. I started my tank life as a Stam DK Tank... Moderate damage, but low crowd control and group utility without running out of recources. Also, low self healing ability. Yes, Vigor morphs can be useful as well, but I preferred the faster burst heal option of GDB. Then I switched up to a Health DK Tank setup and gear... Massive survivability, but little to no damage for Solo content, PVP, or any fun really.

Priorities:

1. Group Utility

2. Survivability

3. AOE and DOT Damage

I noticed the crowd control benefits and damage of Mag DK skills, also the damage in PVP ability, and decided to combine it with the best of what I liked about a health tank setup.

What you will have:

Great CC.

Steady DOT for Trash and Bosses

Steady self healing from Curse Proc and Burning Embers.

Oh Crap! healing from GDB.

Great Self Shields and Good Group Shields.

Approx. 2000+ spell damage when buffed.

17K+ Magicka; Depending on Race

Good Magicka Sustain

37K - 44K+ Health; Depending on Race and Food.

Stamina; Enough for blocking Heavy and Spell attacks as needed.

    Edit: Fogot to include…
Bar 1: Primary Boss Bar / Defense Bar
    Bar 2: Primary Trash Bar

First time releasing a build. I hope others find my research and experimentation pays off for them as well. Good Luck and Thanks!

So, you added a resto staff just for magicka return? Hm, that might actually work… I have almost the same trash bar on my DK tank and with 1h and shield on both bars get out of mana pretty fast.

    Edits:

Yes, I’m running Bahahra’s Resto Staff on back bar for increased magicka return.

I’ve also recently discovered running full Impen, Black Rose set instead of Imperium results in
better magicka return, healing, and damage on both bars.

PVP Back Bar: (If you do that sort of thing :P)
    1) Flame Lash 2)Burning Embers 3)Inevitable Detonation 4) Igneous Weapons 5) Invigorating Drain
    6) Ferocious Leap
