What Is Spell Power

Spell Power is just another name for Spell Damage.

Spell Damage is an important stat for your character which you can view in your character window.

Spell Damage (along with Max Magicka) will increase the effectiveness of your Magicka based abilities including damage and healing effects. Spell Damage has a bigger impact than Max Magicka because it can’t go as high and you can get it from fewer sources.

Your Spell Damage is determined firstly by your weapon. Any weapon will give you the same amount of Spell Damage and Weapon Damage. So even your sword or dagger or bow gives you Spell Damage.

You can also increase your Spell Damage with buff abilities (Major and Minor Sorcery), potions, item sets and jewelry enchants.
