Gear and Item Set Info
For this hard hitting build you're going to want the following:
5pc Treasure Hunter or Mothers Sorrow
3pc Willpower (1 ring and 2 staves,or just 3 jewelry)
2pc (interchangable,get creative!) Illambris,Grothdar,Valkyn Skoria,or Infernal Guardian
You'll want light for all of the passives,i highly recommend Breton or anything with Magicka or Elemental DMG.
the TH or MS is essential as it will boost your Spell Crit and you'll be using Crit Surge at ALL times,keeping you healed,and smashing your enemies at the same time.
General Info
This build is a ranged,aoe,critical based,PvE build.
a few skills can be changed up here to fit PvP,but only Cyrodiil with large groups,as it focuses on AoE and Off-Balance. So casting these spells in a 1vx would make more sense than anything else..
your best bet with food is SolitudeSalmon. if not that,any blue Magicka food.
keeping Hardened Ward and Crit Surge active at all times is KEY with this build..your shield is simply too hard to hit through and crit surge active with it with heal you while you have a shield,so IF and when your shield ever goes down,you'll have full health and time to figure out your next move.
As far as fights you're gonna want to buff up first,your third overload bar needs to have all of your buffs.
(starting on second bar) Critical Surge
keep in mind that ALL of these skills can be Ani-Cancelled for smoother transitions,resulting in higher DPS!

Overall, this build is rather poor.
Critical surge morph increases the healing from critical strikes by a small degree, but makes you miss out on the 20% spell damage bonus provided by Power Surge.
Hardened Ward, which should be “kept up at all times,” lasts only 6s and is extremely difficult to maintain without a massive drop in DPS, especially when it’s on the secondary bar.
Destruction storm should be swapped with Overload, as the storm is Aoe and the overload is targeted, matching the main focus of either bar.
Many of the skills listed don’t have a morph specified, which is kind of important.
It also seems to be rather lacking in terms of DPS, as Force Pulse is a good base attack but nothing special, and Mages’ Fury is only effective on enemies below 20%.
I believe a 2/5 would suit this build best.
The original build mess up all of the morphs,obviously I wouldn’t submit a build without morphs.
The overload bar shouldn’t be swapped actually, as it is used for buffs,you need a 3rd bar for this build.
I have no idea why all the morphs are gone but the surge is supposed to be power.
This build is far from poor as I have completed many v trials and v dungeons with it effectively.
Mages fury is an execution bud..your shorting yourself by not using it with all of the stormcalling passives.
Oh and are you new? Be everyone knows how easy it is to keep Ward up when it comes to bar switching,without a “massive drop in dps”…which is WHY it’s in the second bar…and there’s also an open slot on your third bar that Ward can be thrown into.
And no,7 light armor bud. Nothing else.
