3 piece Songs of Lamae

all but engine guardian have the new sturdy trait
my jewelry set is the darkstride and they have block cost reduction on all

i would like to eventually test with armor master set 5 piece with this build but im currently enjoying the above sets

General Info

ok so mainly the reason i am posting this build is because with 100 cp involved in block cost reduction when i am blocking aslong as its not some heavy damage i actually regen stamina about 1-2 % everytime i get “love tapped” now we all know u shouldnt  be able to regen stamina when blocking but this build actually does that.

i know its broken atm and is most likely going to be fixed shortly (but who knows it may be intented)

ive basically never tanked befor in eso so i decided to build this to use in 2.4 however i had never lvled playing a tank either so i was something of a newb so for my first time tanking i ended up just doing a normal dungeon ….. the healer commented he never even bothered to heal me u never saw my health drop below 90% and on the few occasions that it did because of the use of ultimates, green blood and tri pots he still didnt bother healing me no biggy right its normal mode .
so it was decided to give the tank a real working over … vicp ….. there was what i would assume the usual struggles involved i was rolling with 1 dps who had seen nearly all fights and anouther who like me had never seen it on veteran and an experienced healer

we was able to get to the last boss and spent some time dieing the healer later commented that it was a pleasure having me tank because like normal mode i didnt need heals … he knew i was a rookie and i guess he expected to not really progress that far rookie tank we was light on dps but because the healer would only occasionally have to heal me when i made a newb mistake it certainly made life alot easier

my play style is defensive … i know there are hardcap values for protection and im pretty sure ive passed them but hey what harm could it do right if ive passed them aslong as i dont die at the end of the day if ive wasted some protection so be it
ultimately i guess this build would be more centered around tanks thats are new to tanking …. im pretty sure given my limited experience tanking .. a new player could pick this build up and play it as it is pretty self explanitory and im prob not the first person to post a build like this but this is my first baby so like any dad im proud regardless

Champion Point Tips

the ritual :

100 mighty

40 precise strikes

16 piercing

tbh i didnt really see the importance of investing anything into but blue cp tree but chose what might be best

66 in shadow war im not cp capped yet but all new points will go in here

90 warlord
45 quick recovery

23 heavy focus

30 hardy

26 elemental

33 spell shield
tbh i havnt really sat down and optimised my cp yet the reason i still have 32 points left to earn and once ive earned them i will prob really sit down and work on them but currently this set works so if it aint broke why fix it right l

just noticed i mentioned 100 cp right at the start its is inaccurate but i will most likely be putting the final points i have yet to earn in block cost reduction

It’s most likely the constitution passive in heavy armor that is giving you stamina back

YEAH i found that the other day(i did say in the post im completely new to tanking lol) after i had made the post lol sadly no way of editing it but was why i logged in today to put here it is down to the constitution passive and because i have all the block cost reduction it cost no stamina to block

Hey just a few of my thoughts on the build as I have been tanking for quite awhile.
    1. Green dragon blood seems like an off morph, as stated earlier you get your Stam back due to constitution so your recovery is 0 if your a true lock and block, this means that the extra 20% is wasted you should pick the other morph.
    2. Armor master is a great set if you can keep the buff up 100% of the time in heavy (only 10seconds unlike 20 for hardened armor) or you wear medium and run both buffs
    3. The hard caps are both 33,000 just so you know
    4. You really need aggressive war horn.. It’s amazing for a tank and offers a ton of extra dps for the group

Lastly I like the build it would be great for those looking to lock and block or those who are new, but in the future you’ll want to offer more group utility I’d suggest igneous weapons, deep inhale (for caster interrupt) war horn, and etc.
