Gear and Item Set Info

Sets

Sword Singer's provides a 400+ weapon damage boost to 2H skills. Nearly all of this build's damage comes from Brawler, Wrecking Blow, and Onslaught, so it's a tough choice to beat.

Mark of the Pariah offers a big damage resist that increases as your health decreases, providing some survivability on a pure stamina build. The relatively high damage resistance makes the most of Rally's modest heals and health regen (I first tried Plague Doctor's but Rally barely makes a dent.) Low health, but high effective health and effective health regen.

These sets are relatively cheap and easy to aquire.

Clothing

Helm - Mark of the Pariah, Stamina, Infused

Weapons (Maelstrom if you've got it)

Primary Weapon:

Sharpened Greatsword, Glyph of Absorb Magicka - High damage overland enemy killer that helps replenish magicka for Shadowy Disguise

Secondary Weapon:

Sharpened Maul, Glyph of Weapon Damage - Armor penetrating boss killer that boosts weapon damage when the glyph procs

General Info

The ultimate cost of Onslaught is refunded if it kills the target, and you'll be seeing "Ultimate Available!" a lot if you're using the FTC HUD, since any non-boss overland enemy can be killed with one cycle of:

Ambush -> Shadowy Disguise -> Onslaught

Ambush empowers the next attack for +20% damage, while Shadowy Disguise gives a guaranteed critical hit with an invisibility damage buff. Following it up with a high damage ability is a no-brainer, and it doesn't get better than Onslaught. Wrecking Blow can be substituted for Onslaught with much the same effect, albeit slower, if you're leveling, or if you lost your ultimate by hitting the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Make sure to keep Rally and a stamina food buff up if you're low level, low on champion points, or facing tougher enemies like ogres, clannfears, dreugh, etc. Onslaught, light attacks, or Brawler work as finishers if Wrecking Blow isn't quite cutting it, or you can substitute Executioner for Brawler or Rally. It all depends on where you're at in terms of gear, morphs, and CP.

Brawler is good for swarming enemies, and starts to out-dps the Onslaught cycle if you're facing 4+ grouped enemies. Its damage shield will keep you alive in pretty much any crowd, but the AOE damage output is put to shame by any competent stamplar. This is still a fun build for public dungeons.

The back bar is for bosses or group dungeons. Buff with Rally and Relentless Focus, mark your target, put down a Rearming Trap, and start banging away with Wrecking Blow (optionally humming "I've Been Working on the Railroad"). The Assassination skills and Camoflauged Hunter passively buff critical chance. The Fighters Guild skills passively boost weapon damage, with Flawless Dawnbreaker providing its own significant weapon damage boost. This build is missing stacking DOTs, but outputs between 22k and 31k single target dps without maelstrom weapons (it's all over the place due to the high critical damage and inconsistent Glyph of Weapon Damage.)

Using Shadowy Disguise consumes magicka, and you can run out if you're running through enemies fast enough, but in my experience, tri-stat food provides enough magicka to keep you going. The dunmer magicka boost passive is also helpful here (I'm actually using a Nord, but Dunmer would be a better choice for this reason.)

The Thief is the optimal mundus for boss-bar damage output, but the Shadow's critical damage boost can make or break your primary bar's 1-shot capability. Shadow for leveling, Thief for end game.

I’ve switched out the Sword Singer’s arm cops for a medium Velidreth shoulder for some more weapon damage, completing the SS set with the greatsword and maul. I’m also in the process of training up crafting so I can swap out Mark of the Pariah for Hunding’s Rage (still heavy helmet and cuirass). I may leave the stamina regen enchants on the Sword Singer’s jewelry for some extra sustain, since I’m doing more dungeons now.

    Latest changes:

Strength of the Automaton feet, legs, waist, arms, helm instead of Hunding’s Rage (infused on legs/helm, divines on feet/waist/arms)

Sword Singer Jewelry: 2x Weapon Damage enchants, 1x Stamina Regen enchant

    Primary Bar:
    Razor Caltrops
    Rally
    Ambush
    Shadowy Disguise
    Rearming Trap
Onslaught (or Werewolf transformation when in dungeons for passive stamina regen)

    Secondary Bar:
    Reaper’s Mark
    Relentless Focus
    Camoflauge Hunter
    Brawler
    Wrecking Blow
    Flawless Dawnbreaker

I would like to swap in a medium divines Kragh’s shoulder for the velidreth, but haven’t RNG’d one yet.
