Gear and Item Set Info

This build is for non-competetive trials and dungeons and can easily tank pretty much everything in vet in all Epic level gear. There are 3 gear variations...see below.

You can go 5/1/1 if you'd like but the stats are good as is so it's up to you.

With this setup you should sit around 40k HP(more than needed but 2 of your abilities scale of HP so it benefits you), 21k magicka and 24k stamina.

Boon: The Lord. This can be changed if you would rather run something else.

Food: Longfin Pasty with Melon sauce or any tri-stat food.

Vamp/WW: This build will work with or without.

Potions: As an Argonian, run whatever you feel like. I run trash pots.

Jewelry: Ebon Armory - 2 x magicka recovery, 1 x stamina recovery, all Triune. You can glyph as needed for your own recovery needs. This setup gives us 1100 recovery of both Stamina and Magicka, plus if you ever run low on stam while blocking just bar swap and use your ice staff you regain stam if needed tho I never really have to; or use a potion and get back 4k of each resource from Argonian passive.

Body: Waist & hands - Ebon in Sturdy trait. Chest, Legs, Boots - Plague Doctor with Infused big pieces, Sturdy boots. Magicka or Tri-stats on everything.

Weapons: Any Plague Doctor Infused 1H with Crusher, Sturdy Plague Doctor shield with Health glyph, Infused Plague Doctor ice staff with Weakening.

Monster: Lord Warden, Bloodspawn or a mix of any pieces you'd like. I run one Bloodspawn for stamina recovery, 1 Pirate Skeleton which puts my resistances at 26k unbuffed. 1 x Domi would be nice too for a bit more resources.

Variation 2: Plague Doctor jewelry, hands, waist. Torug's chest, legs, boots, 1h/shield, frost staff. Traits and glyphs can remain the same or adjust as needed.

Variation 3: Ebon jewelry, hands, waist. Torug's chest, legs, boots, 1h/shield, frost staff. Traits and glyphs can remain the same or adjust as needed.

General Info

Basic trash pulls: Buff with Leeching and Mirage

  • Frost heavy to taunt the biggest/closest enemy.
  • Blockade of frost as they move in.
  • Refreshing path for group heals and for Shadow Barrier passive.
  • Silver Leash to pull in any ranged enemies.
  • Most likely you can just stay on this bar for trash since dps will probably kill them very quickly.

Bosses:

  • Pretty much the same here. I start on Frost staff and then bar swap. Keep Dark Cloak up for Shadow Barrier passive(in 7 heavy this lasts for 17 sec). Use Bone Shield as needed for big hitters and watch Leeching Strikes to keep up your stam pool. Use Silver Leash if there is add trash and pull them into the boss or use Inner Fire to keep them taunted on you if you can't really move because of fight mechanics.

Yep. This is about as good as a NB tank can be. Which is why I retired my NB tank.

You stated to use Inner Fire, yet you don’t have it down as a skill to use or even as a flex spot…?
