Gear and Item Set Info

Head- Illambris
Shoulder- Illambris
Chest- Burning Spellweave/Julianos
Waist- Burning Spellweave/Julianos
Legs- Burning Spellweave/Julianos
Glove- Burning Spellweave/Julianos
Boots- Burning Spellweave/Julianos
Jewlery- Infallible aether/Willpower
Weapon (Bar 1)- Maelstrom lightning staff/Aether lightning staff (Sharpened)
Weapon (Bar 2)- Maelstrom inferno staff/Aether inferno staff (Sharpened)

Burning spellweave is absolutely amazing, and in my opiinion any sorcerer who runs illambris should probably be running this set. Julianos works as an alternative until you can get spellweave. Infallible aether is honestly best in slot, but if you have maelstrom weapons, and no aether jewlery, willpower will work almost as well. Either way, I do really recommend running maelstrom lightning staff on the front bar, because we spend most of our time there.

General Info

Basically all you need to do is buff, set up blockade and liquid lightning, swap bars, and use force pulse with a light attack weave. If  crystal fragments procs, use it. When blockade runs out, swap bars and refresh it as well as liquid lightning.

In aoe situations, just set up liquid lightning and blockade, then swap to your lightning staff and heavy attack the densest part of the mob (lightning staff heavy attacks have aoe).

Be sure to chug potions. Sorcerer can be fairly magicka starved, but if your healer is running elemental drain you won't have any sustain problems. Use regular blue food (health+magicka).

One big thing with this build is having a tank who can hold a boss still. Between illambris, elemental blockade, and liquid lightning, you rely a lot on ground aoe's to deal damage. If the boss is wandering around everywhere, you're going to lose a pretty significant amount of damage.

The big floating slots are the back bar ulti (overload) and the execute. To be honest, the sorcerer execute is pretty terrible compared to other executes (radiant oppression). You generally won't notice a big difference in your dps when you execute, so you can change this out for a damage shield, lightning form, or any other skill you might find useful. Overload can be replaced sitautionally. If you need a lot of aoe, run the destro staff ultimate, if you need CC you can try out suppression field/absorption field. The only reason I have overload slotted is for situations where I run out of magic (should only happen when the other dps isn't doing very well). If you don't like interrupting your rotations for crystal fragments, and you'd rather use spell power potions than the self buff, you can take off both of those skills and use the twilight tormentor for a little extra damage.

Champion Point Tips

The most important parts of your champion points are:

Tower
100 into magician

Lover
Everything else into arcanist

Apprentice
100 into elemental expert, everything else into elfborn

Just do whatever works for you in the red trees.
