Gear and Item Set Info
This is a Magicka Nightblade build that revolves around heavy armor, and high sustained damage.
In the current meta of Shadows of The Hist, Impenetrable is one of the best traits to wear in PvP. Impenetrable decreases any Crit damage that is applied to you. Many builds that people have do not switch between PvE and PvP; many builds have High Crit Percentage and High Crit Damage.
The sets that I wear are as follows:
Head: Malubeth/Engine Guard
Shoulder: Malubeth/Engine Guard
Hands: Vicious Death
Chest: Clever Alchemist
Waist: Clever Alchemist
Legs: Clever Alchemist
Feet: Clever Alchemist
Resto: Clever Alchemist
Destro: Willpower
Rings: Willpower
Necklace: Vicious Death
The Clever Alchemist is set up similarly to Sypher's bomb build. The resto is the 5th piece; in order for clever alchemist to proc, the potion must be used while on the resto bar.
I am considering running Fasala's Guile in the place of Clever Alchemist.
General Info
The rotation with a destro staff should always include the light or medium (prefered) weave in between every ability usage. Without weaving your attacks, using a destruction staff is pointless and counter-productive. Adding a light attack in between resto skills is also useful, as siphoning attacks procs off of light and heavy attacks.
With this build, Kiting your opponents around is useful. Always try to keep distance using crippling grasp, and mass hysteria. After every Mass Hysteria use, use crippling grasp.
Try to time your heavy hits carefully. Instead of mindlessly using Comet as soon as you get it, proc Merciless resolve first. Then proceed with your combo. Mine is: Light resto, Comet, Light resto, Mass Hysteria -switch bars- Medium Weave, Merciless Resolve.
The reason I chose Breton over high elf was because this build will have low regen. A percentage added to low, is still going to be low. Cost reduction benefits this build much more. I do, however, use the atronach mundus stone because it is a flat addition, instead of a percentage.
Champion Point Tips
Put enough points into resistant to give yourself 2300 cit resistance. 100 into magicka cost reduction.
Any other ideas are welcome. My CP isn't maximized for this build for sure.
Can you do a rattle cage build with either treasure hunter or medusa set. Rattle cage being your main equipment. Or.. do a full heavy tbs with rattle cage and malestrom restro destro
What are the actual amounts of character points? Like for the magicka, stamina, and health?
