General Info
Origins:
This tank was designed for groups of 4+, specifically for very difficult dungeons and hard hitting bosses. The idea was Maximum Armor, Health, and resource management. I chose a bow as secondary weapon due to the ability to still deal AOE damage and increase mobility during boss fights. If you lose taunt on a boss a quick roll dodge with bow will give you the speed to catch and taunt again before your teammates get in trouble. While it won't be a proper DPS, a good amount of AOE from your bow and caltrops could make all the difference in a long drawnout boss fight, or a large group of mobs.
Fighting Technique:
It is not a tank that one moves around, don't try to evade unless it is a manditory mechanic for the fight. Just block and manage resources. Keep your buffs up constantly which in turn will proc your Engine guardian and keep your resources full.
This build is ideal for taking a hard hitting boss into a corner and standing there in his AOE's or damage as your DPS obliterate him from behind.
A healer is helpful for sure, but if resources are managed correctly you should be able to stand alone without a healer.
Edibles:
You will need to use potions, specifically stamina potions. I wait until my stamina is under 10%, if I have still not gotten a stamina engine guardian proc I will use a stamina potion. Just normal boss drop portions will work most of the time.
Food is variable, I generally use CP150 Tri-Stat (purple) Food. However in cases where health and stamina are more paramount than Magicka I will use CP150 Duo-Stat (blue) Food.
Alternitives:
This is very much a tank build, but as with any build you will find yourself in situations where you are alone or in need of more damage than normal. In such cases abilities can be switched out to compensate. Don't be afraid to switch out your primary ultimate for something more damage dealing such as Werewolf, Take Flight, or Dawnbreaker. Especually in dungeons that have less powerful bosses, or larger groups of mobs.
Your secondary ultimate can be switched as well, I will often run Take flight, or the Bow ultimate rapid fire when in these situations.
In addition to ultimates other useful abilities can be switched out. Using Venomous Claw, instead of heroic slash, or in addition to it will deal more DOT. Dungeons with a large number of mobs it would be a good idea to use Burning talons instead of Inner Beast.
If you decide the bow is not useful for you, switch to duel Sword/Board, or a 2hander. Both will work well and be acceptable alternitives.
