Gear and Item Set Info
5 piece Burning Spellwave - 5 max magicka glyphs
3 willpower - 3 spell power glyphs
2 valkyn skoria -or- 2 grothdar -or- 2 ilambris - 2 max magicka glyphs
All divines is good, but if you want more magicka you can use infused on big pieces.
Maelstrom Inferno Sharpened Staff
I suggest inferno staff in both slot.
If you don't want to deal with RNG you can swap burning spellwave to julianos.
You can go 5-1-1 for undaunted passive, It will give some resources. It's up to you.
General Info
With upcoming patch 13, magicka dks get some love that needed. It's a high damage build, you can pull easily 25 - 30 k damage. Unless you are not looking for top competitive trial guilds, this build give you everything you need, you can do vma, solo most vet dungeons.
And DK's have so many useful abilities. So you MUST get following abilities to max;
Coaglation Blood
Draw Essence
*UPDATE: after neat change on volatile armor, you can use it aswell. It does 12,000k damage in 10 second and have very good radius, also gives major resolve and major ward. Swap with harness magicka on trash pulls and aoe grind.
And Proximity Denotation. It's not MUST, but very useful.
It's little hard though, you must manage so many dots and weapon swap, so it requaries little practice.

Hey nice build. Im looking to swap from stam dk to mag dk and this look like a solid build. hut for what do you swap out Coaglation Blood, Draw Essence And Proximity Denotation?
Draw essence and proximity for pure aoe. You can drop searing strike for aoe and even whip for takimg denotation. I generally don’t pick searing strike unless bosses. Proximity deal monster damage on trash pulls and grinding. And you wantto solo vet dungeon or vma I suggest picking Draw essence. For Coaglation blood, with upcoming patch 13 it will restore health your %30 of missing magicka. As dk I’m %90 of times below half magicka because dk’s don’t have much resource management. Eith huge magicka pool you can heal heal to full health.
Hey, I’m new to builds and I got the game a coupe of months ago. See I tend to always play with heavy armour, so is it possible to change the light armour over for heavy armour.
For pve heavy armors useless. You can wear 5 light 1 medium 1 heavy wrmor for undaunted passive. Or full 7 light armor. 5-1-1 better than all 7 light. Not just extra %4 ho and resources but mitigation + another %2 hp from heavy oassives and some stamina recovery and cost reduction from medium. IF you want to dps pve, you must vear atleast 5 piece light armor. You’ll get crazy amount penetration and spell critical from 5 piece passives.
Can u maybe explain how u use the skills. Like what order. I’m new to this mag dk thing. Like just explain what order u use the skills when your attacking a monster or boss or maybe a mob. Please just explain what order you use the skills in, I need help! Thank you
For non bosses just pop up molten armaments and do heavy attack + molten whip. This will normally do +40k damage. For bosses, first pop your buffs then;
Heavy attack -> Elemental Blockade -> Engulfing Breath -> Burning Embers -> Standard of Might -> molten whip with weaving until your dots run-off. Then repeat.
I forgot to add Eruption before Elemental Blockade. Because Elemental blockade have very long animation. After casting Blockade, immediately switch weapon. This will ignore it’s animation.
Could you swap the race for a dark elf?
Dark elf would be best choice for magicka dk. +%7 more fire damage is unrivaled.
Hey looks like I’m gonna be using your build. Now I have a few questions. What are the best 3 ways to level in ESO, how can I level my mages guild skill line, and can I use a vampire for this build? Thanks ahead of time.
If you move your mouse cursor over XP bar in skill screen, you can see how to level that particular skill line. For mage guilds you have to collect lore book that scatter all over Tamriel. If you play on PC, there’s a addon called “Lorebooks” that shows all lorebooks on your map. And you can use Vampire asswell, but wouldn’t recommend. Unless you want to PvP. For best to power level, you can search good grind spot on google or Join an Dolmen group in any map, Best map for dolmen grin is Alik’r desert. Just go Alik’r desert and type “dolmen+” in zone chat, if there’s any grind group they will add to their group.
Does is possible if i make 3 Julianus light divine, 1 heavy and 1 med Julianus foe undaunded. Because i have 2 light grothar. And go 3 willpower jew and 2 staffs inferno any of them sharpened will be good for pve?
It doesn’t matter which part of your armor Heavy or medium. But I would recommend using chest plate heavy and legs medium. They give more armor than other pieces. 3 willpower and grothdarr very good, If you feel ready for trials you can change willpower jewelry for 3 piece moondancer or infallible aether later.

So i see you swap the race to dark elf for a request of one guy, i can still play this build with a High elf? (i don’t care for the extra shit flame damage of the dark elf or high end game leaderboards)
As long as you benefit magicka from racial passives, you’re good to go. And altmers get %4 elemental damage from their racial passives. So there’s only %3 different. So yes, you can play as altmer.
How should I distribute my attribute and what boon should I use
All in magicka. For pve thief, for pvp atronach
Would the build work with DW/Destro Staff? DW really looks nice with stat sticks like a good spellsword or something of that nature. Im new to the game and figuring things out. ;P

This is an awesome build! I have been experimenting with all the classes and this Magika DK is by far the most fun to play. Tons and tons of damage!!! Can”t go wrong here!

Gear isssue..I’m running all light atm.. I need a full set 5 or 7 piece that I can farm myself
I see lists of light armor sets but I’m not worried bout best in slot..not yet..
I just need a full set I can find..
Typically on my own..I’m in 4 guilds and they not much help to me..they got there core group and to get in I need to test at 30k dps…I’m still in green n blue armour at 156cp..weapon too..it’s blue inferno flame but still no good buff with it..I need to consider trial gear..so plz help with gear I can farm or one friend in delve..ty..
