General Info
This build is a great up close brawler. With the combination of forward momentum, blood craze, troll king, dark cloak, and vigor, our healing over time is rediculous even without amy form of mending. that combined with the nightblades inherently high damage skills, the orcblade is a pretty deadly combatant.
Keeping your buffs up is essential, with your merciless reslove activated you will sit at around 1.3k stam recovery, which is more than adequate for this setup. You also have heavy armors constituion and heavy attack bonusses, as well as siphoning attacks keeping you well sustained.
Applying pressure is rather easy, start with your gap closer, which has a chance to proc 4 DoTs, the Meciless charge dot, axe bleed dot, and the two dots from your poison. If all of these succesfully activate at the same time it makes a big opening for you, because this is guaranteed to put almost all classes on the defesive immediately. Swap to your dual weild, activate your blood craze for additional bleed dot, surprise attack to debuf their armor, and then use either more SAs, your incap, or your bow proc if it is ready to kill your enemy. Your gap close is a very integral part of the build, as it your slow, and one of your main sources of DoT.
Defese is not difficult on this build either. When being pressured, yu want to make sure to maintain your buffs, inculding quick cloak to reduce aoe damage and provide you with a quick burst of mobility. Heavy attackin during your defesnive phase is very useful as well, when combined with your siphoning attacks, making them heal you as well as grant additional resources. Starting on your DW bar, your healihg rotation will be
HA>Vigor>heavy attack>(if you do not have blood craze proced, proc it here>bar swap cancel>Heavy attack>Dark cloak
This is a very powerful combination. Each heavy attack will heal about 1.5k, while your dark cloak will heal about 7k over 3 seconds (not accounting for crits) while your vigor which is about a 15k tooltip has already ticked once or twice in te time it takes your activate Dark cloak. Sometimes, just dark cloak is sufficient to keep you topped off along with your momentum and blood craze dots also healg you, as well as all heavy and light attacks. Being able to heal from both stamina AND magicka is a great advantage, if you use tri pots often, you should ALWAYS have a way to keep yourself alive. Make sure you stay on your 2h bar as often as possible while on defense, becaue your healing is significantly higher on the 2h bar than the DW, thanks to some of the nightblades passives.
Not using invisibility can be a bit jarring on a nightblade at first, and since this is no DK, Warden, or Plar, your wont be quite as tanky as some of the other builds running around, so kiting is KEY. Use forward momentum, followed by quick cloak to get your mobility up temporarily to get some distance. Your HoTs will keep you alive.
Champion Point Tips
I will do a full CP layout in the comments soon.
NOTE: The DW bar ult is obviously not Absorbtion field. Dawnbreaker is my go to for open world, Incap for BGs and Duels
Also, stampede instead of crit rush, sorry fellas
Very interesting build! Looks like a lot of fun!
I would change out a few things that will make it better in my opinion…
Min/max…
First, switch out Shacklebreaker for Hundin’s Rage, Night Mother’s Gaze Kvatch Gladiator or for something tanky and fun Death’s Wind.
Then change some skills.
Merciless Resolve to Relentless Focus, for obvious reasons of the stam recovery and it’ll hit way harder converted to a stam ability with a min/max.
Surprise Attack to Reaper’s Mark. You will gain health from the kills, but not only that you will gain Major Berserk after a kill increasing your damage a ton. Plus it suits the build style as a “Berserker”.
Oh and probably put Siphoning Attacks on Bar 2 and Reaper’s Mark on Bar 1… you will want to mark your target right before you Stampede without having to bar swap.
…also give Onslaught a consideration over Soul Tether. Use it when your target is about under 50 health. You may find it interesting for this build.
I meant to say relentless focus, my bad, just confused the two. I have soul tether slotted for increased healing, and if you replace surprise attack, you replace your main spammable. Your ideas are interesting, but they dont exactly fit into the playstyle im looking for, although you have given me a good idea for a BGs build.
Cool… I guess I just feel like spamming Surprise Attack is basically like spamming light attack but costs resources… but to each their own.
