Gear and Item Set Info

i generally use ebon (crypt of hearts 1) and torugs(crafted) because these add quite a bit of health and defense  while buffing enchants (all max health on armor) for monster set swarm mother(spindleclutch 1) lord warden(imperial city prison) or mighty chudan(ruins of mazzatun) are three great options dependent on your preference and needs.  This will make you very hard to kill especially with your abilities. Swarm mother would be a way to have a chain like effect that templar just doesnt have. Lord warden is more of a team buff monster helm so it fits more with entire conception of paladin being a buff tank.

General Info

This is a very get into the enemy's face taunt everything and dont take damage.  You want to get in activate your shields place your rune and watch them not damage you. It has quite a few buffs that will help you and your team not die give you fast rezs should it come to it. You could switch out radiant shield with blazing shield, ritual of retribution with extended ritual, or spiked bone shield for bone surge depending on your preferences. It is very good at pitching a tent holding aggro and can take quite a bit of abuse even without a healer. You won't be doing a whole lot of damage but you are a tank and thats not necessary. Possible enchantments could be hardening or weakening or even magika/stamina steal.  Race is not super key with this build the typical meta race: (imperial) would work but so would magika inclined races. Really its up to your preference.
