  Don’t have the gear I listed?

No Necropotence? Julianos can be used instead, with a minimal difference in performance. 

No Trial Sets? 3 piece Willpower, 4 piece Martial Knowledge,  or any other 4 piece magicka set can be used for jewelry/weapons.  

No VMA weapons?  You can run random staffs (if you are running Willpower jewelry) or run staffs the same set as your jewelry to get the 4 piece bonus.

 

General Info

 

Race:  Altmer, Dunmer

Mundus:  apprentice,  thief

A general rule of thumb I use is if my crit chance is not at least 50-55% without a mundus I choose the thief 

Food:  solitude salmon-millet soup (more magicka/health) or witchmothers potent brew (less magicka/health, more magicka regen)

Potions:  essence of spellpower, tri pots (I normally use these in vma or vdsa)

Other Stats: spell damage 1900-2700, crit chance 50-55%, 

Alternate Abilities:     Destructive clench can be swapped for crushing shock / force pulse for those that prefer a long range interrupt or just prefer force pulse

Mages Wrath / Power Surge can be swapped with Bound Aegis for a higher magicka pool and higher damage resistances.  At the cost of your execute and self healing (I personally don’t do this because I noticed a 1-2k dps difference without the Execute)

Passives:Racial, Dark Magic, Daedric Summoning, Storm Calling, Destruction Staff, Light Armor, Heavy armor - juggernaut, Undaunted, Mages Guild, Fighters Guild - banish the wicked, Alchemy - medicinal use

Rotation: apply power surge or spellpower pot before you start.  I normally start off my rotation with an empowered ult and then drop ults as I get them (in some situations it’s better to synch your ults with your group to maximize damage).

Light attack, liquid lightning, light attack, blockade of storms, light attack, volatile familiar, light attack, daedric prey, Barswap, light attack, destructive clench, Barswap, heavy attack, repeat.  You should be keeping buffs up at all time.

When enemy is under 20% health. Keep up your main dots - liquid lightning / blockade of storms and spam mages wrath while light weaving between every cast.  If your dots start to go down re apply them.

Damage test:  normally on a lax rotation with myself casting elemental drain I hit 35.5k+.

    Do you think this build would work as well with a Breton rather than a Dunmer? I have been running a pretty standard sorc dps build using just the storm calling tree and a healing on the back bar.
    Fancy mixing up my build to a higher dps set up now I am at CP120. Going to work on the skills and my champion points to get them lvled until I reach 160 where I will start the grind for my sets ect.
    So again would a Breton work for this set up what with it having different racial passives? or would you suggest any other set up styles or builds to suit a Breton while still dealing a high dps

    Yea you can use a Breton for this setup the damage difference will not be huge. You will just loose 7% to fire damage (this build doesn’t use much fire) and 2% to lightning damage. While having a 7% magicka pool and 3% reduced cost over the dunmer.
