As long as its heavy it can probably work. For PvE, Axes. For PvP, Maces.
General Info
It's pretty straightforward. Smash things. There aren't alot of crown control tools, but I feel that's made up for with survivability. You could probably swap Shooting Star with Soul Tether for AoE damage.
