Gear and Item Set Info
Wood Elf
1-Kena Heavy- 5 Morag Tong (Med)- 5 Marksman (med)- Bow build that uses poisons.
Warrior Mundus stone for damage.
I will blend imend with Divines for PVP. If you are good use divines as more damage is never bad.
Depending on your availability the jewelry is just a combination of what you have from these sets. I actually have Necklace Tong, Tong Ring, 1 Marksman ring, All with Weapon Damage Glyphs.
Marksman for 8% bow Damage buff and Stam decrease cost. Morag Tong for 10% increase Poison damage
You could also run any of these with Viper and it would likely serve better if player is a 1v1 PVP savvy type.
Your weapon damage (depending on PVP buffs) will look like 2.8-3.5k (unbuffed) and closer to 4k+ buffed with rally. (Magelight also can do this for you but I need the heals)
Not exactly a glass cannon but this is not the ideal build for melee in my opinion.
General Info
First of all I suck at 1v1. Hands down I am not that guy. I was following a vet in my guild who runs this and/or a variant of this. He uses shuffle I use Relentless focus. He experiences approximately 100-1 kill death ratio depending on the type of play. In gank I will go 20-1 in melee I will go likely 6-7 to 1. You can use tri-stat food for that extra Dark cloak (you can get 3, or 4 with the tri stat in this build)
Running this build in non champ points is almost just mean.
Play is like this: Open from stealth whenever possible. You buff bar with Rally and relentless focus for the 20% weapon boost, Cam hunter boost from stealth just for slotting, stam regen etc. You can pop vigor now or not (it's a habit of mine as a just in case this goes to hell" thing).
Its a Lethal arrow (holding down Heavy attack as that animation goes) and just as the lethal arrow is releasing you let go of heavy and hit Poison injection. This is essentially 3 dots, 3 simultaneous hits immediately (within a second) followed immediatey by the poison injection again.(or ambush) This takes practice but it should all be hitting before victim is even aware what the hell is happening to him.
Then you have 2 options: Ambush, poison inject (or Ambush- Surprise attack) or Light attack poison inject over and over until they fall.
Obviously it depends on the victims build but non champ I will average over 10k damage (as high as 16 crit) from the Lethal alone.
Poison= (Nightshade, Blessed Thistle, Flesh-fly Larve) They will hate you
Healing potions that buff future heals (forget the name) (Buterfly wings, Scrib Jelly, Torchbug)
Strengths=average 10k lethal, 3-5 heavy, and 2-4k opening damage from initial hits. For nearly all cases you will see their heath bar drops to half and beyond because of this opening combo. (this is not including what registers as the ravaging health damage from poisons in skill and poition form) SO, even if the victim survives and sees you and is buffing up heavily gathering themselves, the Damage over time situation demands attention as (in my case) they take on at least 8-13k more damage over 6 seconds than what is already happening from your injections etc. if the poisons actually proc. They HAVE to heal and wood elf seems to have a haert breaking CC out of stealth for victims. They dont even have time to heal often but if they do they have burnt Stamm on cc break and them have to focus on healing, where is this guy etc...it's hard. This is all withion the first 3-5 seconds.
With this build if the poison proc actually happens on top of the rest, That 10% bonus from Tong and 8% bonus damage from Marksman makes this so fun because they just die and have to say (I f@#$! hate that sh*%#@!)
In my case this build is purely a support and gank build. I do my best to come out of stealth as much as possible and in case of group play I am really there to ruin anyone who is focused on you. If this character hits and engaged enemy first they HAVE to focus on us because if they don't we end them easily in 3 seconds. Only builds that can engae others and survive your lethal arrow barrage is Blazing shield build types.
You can really focus on 2 or 3 skills after the open and I like light attack and poison injection followed by a dark cloak depending on the situation. If you notice I am not talking about the "Buff Bar" because its more of an emergency situation value for me. If you are more melee savy this bar may serve you differently.
With this build, having escapability and stealth mastery is so brutal to opponents. If you have that in your tool bag and this set up....pooor bastards.
I deal constantly with players saying I am cancer, no skill, weak ass bow Bi-, you get the picture. In my opinion its harder to do what I do and it is much more than just button smashing and skill-less play. Dont believe the negativity, you know you are getting better when these geek ego's have to tell you how much you suck to justify why their body is laying there bubbling and they have never even seen you yet. I get as many "damn!" type posts as I do "u suck."
Hope this helps all my non face smasher specialists!
Champion Point Tips
Focus on Thaumaturge and essentially any poison damage related skills. I dont mess with penetration and crit damage buffing but its up to your gamestyle. I am trying to maximize your chances of killing them quickly so they never get face to face.
Blessed, stam cost and regen, Hardy and magicka damage prevention based catagories I use. I have a bit in bow specific since I do use many heavy and light attacks. Play with it. Pick the obvious poison related and go from there.
