General Info
This build is focused on max damage with some survivability as well. Prepping before a big fight is vital, casting siphoning attacks with your bow set then switching over and casting grim focus on the second target you intend to take down (if facing multiple targets). I usually will try to crouch and get a good sneak attack using Surprise Attacks against the first enemy.
Being able to read the enemies moves and paying attention to the fight is crucial for any Nightblade melee build to help drastically incrase survivability.
I use The Shadow mundus stone to help increase crit damage as my crit is passively at 61.5%, which is about right before diminishing returns* starts taking effect.
I use a handcrafted Essense of Health potion that does an instant + gradual restore health & stamina, and also grants Major Resolve which increases physical resistance. I chose physical resistance over weapon crit due to the fact that if I have to use a potion, I'm usually in a longer fight and the extra resistance will help me. I always try to target caster's first, which means that by the time I need a potion the main damage being dealth is physical.
If you do not have Dawnbreaker (fight's guild ultimate) unlocked, try Soul Tether as it offers good damage + good survivability support.

Champion Point Tips
At CP 220
Thief - 46 Warlord, 27 Mooncalf - Will be putting some in Tenacity as well, but Warlord and Mooncalf are the mains one.
Warrior - 50% Hardy, 50% Elemental Defender
Mage - 50% Mighty, 50% Precise Strikes. - Piercing Strikes and Melee Weapon Expert are also good choices once you get Mighty and Precise Strikes to at least 15%
TYPO! Due note that Stamina is supposed to be set to Max, NOT magicka!! – Author
What is giving the 61.5% crit rating?
Sorry if I missed it somewhere
Being a Khajiit gives weapon crit passives, and I also run duel swords of agility with “precise” on them. That should cover the whole spectrum of the 61.5% crit chance. If not I can look even closer to see what it is that’s causing it.
On a side note, once you get the full Dreugh King Slayer set on this build, I’d recommend swapping out Hidden Blade for Double Take (morph of Blur) for some extra survivability/maneuverability. Reason being that the Hidden Blade 20% Major Brutality is being granted passively from the Dreugh King Slayer set.
Hey can you message me please I need help with this build
Great build! What changes do you recommend for a pvp version of this build?
Looks like a great build. Is this taking into account the latest patch?
Thanks.
I’m using similar setup with 5pc Hundings and 5 piece DKS. Good setup for PVP or PVE. With the right amount of CP you can crit for 38K on a snipe. Not awesome but decent. Allows you to use potions for things other than Major Brutality buff. Skills wise I like to run Siphon Strikes, Grim Focus then poison inject. Let em come close, fire Draining Shot and then mow down with light/heavy shots. Uses stuff all stamina and gives a disorient and then mighty heal for each shot (14k heal). Good for mobs.
Relatively easy set to obtain.
