Gear and Item Set Info

5 Piece Night mother

the rest Hunding's rage

this build is built around hitting hard and fast. So the critical bonus will do us well. Along with a critical bonus on our bow and maul.

You can switch the armor up to anyway that fits you. I just like the fact of having 3 armor debuff's in piercing mark, focused aim, and the night mother special.

General Info

Be careful using piercing mark first, as with any decent PVP player will know they are being targeted and react accordingly.

Like a sniper, this build is built to hit hard from a distance. A favorite combination of mine is shadowy cloak, Camo hunter, into a long distance smile which most of the time will stun them. While they are stunned I use piercing mark, to weaken them even more. Shadowy cloak, another snipe.

Depending on the player and their play style this is where things get tricky. You can either switch to your 2 handed, close down, wrecking blow, and executioner if they are a lower level.

But if they are a higher leveled more experienced player it is smart to hit them with a few more snipes, try to keep your distance, then before you try to rush in hit them with poison injection so you can have a DOT especially when they are low health.

Champion Point Tips

A focus on critical hits.

either dodge rolling or stamina during sneak

and medium armor

A Bosmer would work just as fine. Whatever you are comfortable with

Are you dumb? The bow bar is ok, but to call the build a sniper and not increase your bow’s output with flawless dawnbreaker slotted, to me screams noob who should be learning instead of posting builds. Instead you have the close range AoE ultimate on a bar that revolves around ranged DPS. The 2 hander; good choice, poor application, this bar is a joke and kills your credibility. First of all WHERE’S RALLY? Rally boosts your weapon damage by 20% for 30 secs meaning you could use rally before you start sniping and the heal it gives you is a nice little extra in case you take damage. You obviously aren’t aware that SURPRISE ATTACK is the hardest hitting single target burst DPS move in the game! The cast time of UPPERCUT means that good players who are used to uppercut spammers rarely get hit by uppercut for full value, surprise attack may not have a CC as a basic effect but when combined with shadow cloak stuns for 4.5 seconds plus as basic effects it causes major fracture and triggers the shadow barrier passive making it a much better choice for close range combat. EXECUTIONER does not do 300% extra damage when your opponent is at half health, it does UP TO 300% extra damage based on missing health meaning that you’re probably not doing that much extra damage until they are at 5% health, making killers blade a better option unless you have nearly maximum points into mighty as killers blade is a stamina morph but does magical damage. CRIT RUSH over ambush? come on, really! SHADOW CLOAK on both bars is a waste but I completely understand if you’re not comfortable switching bars to use invisibility. AND FINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALY, THE SORC ULTI ON A NB…

    1. Chill dude. Like wow, Hahahaha. It’s a game.
    2. This is my build, and is around a certain play style.
    3. I’ll give you rally. But to put it on the bow or 2-H bar would sacrifice vital aspects to my play style. Rally could be subbed to your liking
    4. I like devouring swarm, as it heals and does damage, and this can be insanely important during unwanted close combat.
    5. I like critical rush because of the extra damage it does at a distance. And with this build, ideally your hitting snipe from max distance, and this can do a ton of damage. But to each their own, I like ambush as well. You make a good argument
    6. Your argument for for executioner is one I haven’t read and appreciate. And I’ll look up on. And change accordingly.
    7. “Not comfortable” okay now quit with the patronizing bullshit. You do not know how many times I have been saved in a one v one by going invisible and hitting a crit wrecking blow, knocking them over and making them vulnerable
    8. I appreciate constructive criticism, but stop being a complete douche. Learn how to help someone. Don’t be an asshole man.

Looks like a good build to me, its all about experimenting i would say a typical build would work for some and not others depends on their particular play style. I have several builds and i am constantly changing to fit how i like it. There is no need to criticize a person’s build at least they are trying to help someone with less knowledge aquire a build to try and learn from.

What would you think about using merciless strikes in place of camouflaged hunter?

Are you meaning merciless resolve? If so my personal preference would be camouflaged hunter because i feel the boost in weapon crit is better than the little bit of gain in weapon damage, plus with camo hunter you get added damage out of stealth for daedra and undead (vampires and werewolves) vs merciless resolve you have to hit a few time to proc the added damage. Hope this helps correct me if im wrong on this.

Hi mate, a few tips for you from a long time sniper player. If you’re going full out assassin playstyle, there are some changes you could make to your build.
    1. First and foremost, you need flawless dawnbreaker on your bow bar for the 8% more weapon damage. You won’t go back if you try it mate. Are you using bats for stam regen passive? Just put mist on the bow bar instead. It’s a great escape tool to focus on keeping range and nuking the other player.
2.You can’t slot a sorc ulti as a nightblade, i’m assuming thats a mistake you made. Slot bats there to keep up regen/help out if you’re being gap closed and out of magicka for mist.
3.It says -10 on magicka. I’m assuming that’s 10 on magicka. Go full stam mate, it’s all about the dps gains with this build. If you’re spamming your magicka skills so much that you’re running out of magicka in fights, you’re either in need of changing for more dps, or you might consider re-rolling a magicka nb.
4.Put piercing mark on the back bar and swap it with relentless focus from the same class skill line. Piercing mark is great for a sniper, but you won’t be recasting it too often, especially if you follow these skills, you will be looking to kill them before the mark has ran out, otherwise you need to make a quick getaway. Relentless focus not only gives you 8% more damage (all about the dps gains!) but it also gives you a further 10% stamina regen (essential for this build). plus if you weave light attacks with snipe/poison injection you get to use the proc arrow for big damage. win win.
5.Vigor is a great heal but you’re a sniper. If you’re having to use vigor, you’re in trouble already mate. Swap that for rally. 20% more damage! and it’s also a very respectful heal over time as well. dps gains, dps gains. keep saying it with me.
    6. As a sniper, you have low armour and low hp. Avoid gap closing anyone, train yourself to keep at range. (you get 12% more damage from bow attacks at range remember!) Weaving snipe/poison injection is more than enough for an execute. The only 2hand skill you want is rally, and maybe wrecking blow if you really want to get into close combat.
So by making these changes and staying at range instead of closing you will have gained 40% more damage! Learning to spam invis just before snipe lands means you crit on every single snipe also, so you will literally be hitting like a truck. I love my sniper build. He has no survivability but not many people can top his burst damage. learn to pick your targets. If you follow these steps then you will be “sniping” people to death after only 2-4seconds depending on their damage mitigation/hp, but that is where learning to pick your targets comes into play.
1 final tip. Get to lvl 10 mages guild and slot either mage light or volcanic rune. Using either of these gives your opening snipe a further 20% damage, meaning you have now just improved your opening snipes damage by 60% compared to your current build, and that coupled with the sneak/invis damage boosts from nightblade plus 100% crit from invis means your opening snipe can easily hit upto 20k, (depending on their armour of course) and then straight away theres another snipe coming in, which you invis for also to hit for another high total. Using volcanic rune on yourself is great also because if you can’t kill them and they close on you, guess what, you have a defensive rune on you that knocks them back and stuns, allowing you to get away and start nuking them again.
I hoped this helps mate. It’s a lot of information, but I love my sniper build because to be honest, he just kicks ass…as long as I’m smart with him. The way you’re playing is great, it’s your way and thats how it always should be, but in my opinion, sniping means killing as fast as possible from range, which these changes can help you do.

in the coments you mentioned unwanted close combat just a suggestion but if you use magnum shot or the other morph of that you can push your enemys back to let you shoot longer making close combat less used if you do this ypou may want to switch it out for poison injection because some enemys are resistant to poison but i pla ab build like this but with duel weild instead of 2 handed and my bow prt is almost the same exept the poison injection so i like it and if you need healing momentum could be usefull 🙂
