Today (Jan 15) was the first ESO Live for 2016, Episode 31, which featured both Matt Frior (Director) and Brian Wheeler (PVP Design).

Matt Frior (ESO Game Director) released a message today – ESO The Year Ahead – which summaries some of new ideas coming to ESO in 2016. I’ll provide a summary of the article here, as well as some other information about the future of ESO from sources like ESO Live.

I just thought that I would compile a list of changes to PVP which are expected in 2016. These come from the forums and ESO Live, mostly from Brian Wheeler, the Lead PVP Designer for ESO.

So I thought it would be a good idea to detail some of the up and coming improvements coming in 2016 based on what we know right now. Of course you should know that this is all subject to change if ZOS change their mind or decide to go in a different direction. Some things are pretty certain though – like the arrival of the Thieves Guild in Q1 2016 and the Dark Brotherhood in Q2. Most of this information comes from ESO Live and other correspondence like posts of the official forums.

On ESO Live (Ep. 30) it was mentioned that in early 2016, with the Thieves Guild DLC, some new vendors will arrive in Cyrodiil twice weekly to sell Undaunted item sets in exchange for gold or Alliance Points.

Take a look at some of the future changes heading to ESO some time next year. This information comes from some developer forum posts and also the latest episode of ESO Live. These changes will most likely arrive with the release of a DLC like the Theives Guild or Dark Brotherhhood but will not require the DLC.

You might know that ZOS has been considering the removal of the Veteran Rank system for some time now. Just take a look at this article, written just before Veteran Rank 16 was first introduced, for some context on the situation. It has been confirmed for some time now that the VR system would eventually be replaced – but we are still missing some crucial details. What happens to our Veteran Ranked gear? What about the 16 Attribute Points and Skill Points? How will characters progress after Level 50? Will Level 50 even be the cap? Well here is what we know so far.

ESO News

Hi all, there has been a bit of a lull recently due to the release of some high profile games *cough*Fallout 4*cough* but there is still plenty on the way for ESO! The Orsinium DLC is now available on all platforms and has been received well by many players. The next DLC is expected to the the Thieves Guild in Q1 2016.

ESO News

Orsinium (Wrothgar) is out for PC today (November 2). The patch is 2.2.4 and is about 4GB in size. The major release in this update is the new DLC – Orsinium. Wrothgar is the new zone that is being added and Orsinium is the capital of Wrothgar. The Imperial City was a primarily PVP oriented updated so Orsinium is more tailored towards solo or small group players.

There are two new large Public Dungeons and a new solo arena called The Maelstrom Arena. There are also the usual fixes and improvements as well as new Item Sets and a new Ancient Orc Style Motif.

Patch Notes

ESO News

Hi all, so as you may (or may not) know the new DLC – Orsinium – is coming in early November. November 2 for PC/Mac, November 17 for XBox and November 18 for PS4.

All of the details about the DLC itself can be found on the Orsinium page which will be updated with new information as it comes out. As with the release of the Imperial City the base game patch that comes with the release of Orsinium is huge and contains a lot of changes to game play and more.
