Orsinium is here on the PTS already!

The new DLC will be available on November 2 for PC/Mac and November 17/18 for XBox and PS4!

Orsinium will be like the Imperial City in that the DLC will come in the Crown Store – this time for 3,000 Crowns. If you are subscribed to ESO Plus you will be able to access the DLC for free while you remain subscribed. Orsinium is the majestic ancestral home of the Orcs located deep within the mountains of Wrothgar and the new DLC boasts 20 hours of new storyline content.

The base game patch that will arrive at the same time is available to all players and includes long awaited features such as gamepad support for PC, subtitles, LFG system improvements, and more!

On August 31 the new Imperial City DLC arrived for PC and Mac. On September 15/16 this update will go live for players on XBox One and PS4. Here is a wrap up of the recent news, patches and changes which occurred through August and into September.

On August 31 at 8:00AM EDT the PC/Mac megaservers will be down for maintenance so that ZOS can apply Update 7 and the Imperial City to the live servers!

Patch 2.1.4 has been on the PTS for some time now and we all hope that most of the bugs have been fixed! In case you don’t know Update 7 is another massive patch (similar to Update 6) and includes the first DLC for ESO – the Imperial City. The Imperial City costs 2500 Crowns and you can get it as soon as the update is finished.

The PTS has been patched to 2.1.2 which fixes numerous bugs and improves the Imperial City DLC.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited v2.1.2 is an incremental patch on the PTS that continues to address issues surrounding Imperial City, its dungeons, and the available items in these areas. We’ve also continued to fix issues with Battle Spirit and other abilities. The size of this patch is approximately 2.4GB for English, 6.5GB for German, and 1.5GB for French.

The official patch notes are on the forums over here.

Patch 2.1.1 has been applied to the Public Test Server today (August 12). This patch was mostly fixing the problems, crashes, bugs and exploits that were found in the previous testing period. There are also a couple of tweaks to the game, the character copy for the EU servers and a couple of patch notes that were not included for the first patch.

The template characters on the PTS were also given all of the new item sets so we now have more detailed information in our 2.1 Item Sets page. There were two new sets that we hadn’t discovered as well – the Jolting Arms set and the Brands of Imperium set which gives a large damage shield! We now know that there are the three crafted sets, two new Monster Masks, six Tel Var Stones sets (two for Light, Medium and Heavy), and 12 other sets (four for Light, Medium and Heavy) which might come from PVP rewards or the new Imperial City Group Dungeons.

Hello! The month of July was quite big in terms of ESO news. The PTS got Update 7 and the Imperial City DLC on July 28 and since then there has been a lot of discussion about the new items, new mechanics and new content. In case you missed anything I’ll try to cover the big news here along with any less known changes and news like the tweak to light armor values on the PTS.

This is an overview of some of my experiences (and also some community experiences) while testing out the new Imperial City DLC on the Public Test Server. You can also test out the new content if you play on the PC/Mac by opening the Launcher Settings and selecting Show Public Test Environment. You will have to download a complete separate copy of the game in order to play on the PTS.

All in all the Imperial City was a good experience. It will be very different on the live servers – so we can’t really make any judgements from the PTS. There will be a lot more players and different dynamics when people enter the city with their own characters and when they actually want to keep their Tel Var Stones. The landscape, music, daedra, animations and all of that seem really good. The DLC provides lots of content and lots of different or unique things like the Trophy Vaults, Tel Var Stones, wandering bosses and random PVP encounters.

On ESO Live this week ZOS did a little Q&A and answered questions from the community. A lot of questions related to the release of the Imperial City on the Public Test Server.

You can watch ESO Live over here on Twitch.

ZOS are working hard on stability and performance and they realize that there were several crashing problems in the PTS. They also appreciate everyone who is testing and submitting feedback on the PTS. They will not be able to address every concern before August 31 – when Update 7 goes live to PC/Mac – but they will attempt to fix all of the major concerns, bugs and crashes.

The Public Test Server will be open once more with Update 7 and the Imperial City. The PTS is available to all PC/ Mac players on the NA and EU servers and will be patched tonight (July 28) at 10AM EDT.

The purpose of the PTS is to help ZOS test out the new systems and finalize some decisions before launch of Update 7 in August/September of this year. Any progress that you make on the PTS will be wiped at the end of the testing period.

The PTS is also going to give us all a huge insight into some of the new mechanics, items and sets which are destined for the live servers in August/September. ESO Academy will be gathering information about the new Imperial City Item Sets, Xivkyn Style, Imperial City Bosses and also the new Glass Style.

There is probably going to be a flood of new information as 50 pages of patch notes are also going to be released when Update 7 hits the PTS.
